Equilibrium was founded in 2008 and has worked successfully with over 5000 executives across the globe.
Our flagship Immersive Experience “Leadership through the Eyes of the Horse” has been presented to executive teams across 5 continents – Johannesburg, Cape Town, New York, Sao Paulo, Berlin, Amsterdam, New Delhi
In addition to our renowned Immersive Experience with Horses, we have partnered with key clients across Africa in the delivery of bespoke leadership development programmes and immersions.

Our Story
Nicole Lowe
Nikki has run her own consulting business since 2007, acting as an independent management and leadership development consultant and facilitator; which included the role of part-time faculty member with SA’s top business schools in the area of learning integration and learning process facilitation.
Prior to starting her consulting business Nikki has worked as a teacher; in the corporate management environment working in a large mining organization within the field of organisational and leadership development; as well as within the area of leadership design, development and facilitation with local (GIBS, GIMT, SBS-ED, DukeCE, Regenesys, Henley Business School) and international (University of Michigan) business schools.
Nikki is the creator of the workshops presented on the concept of “Authentic Leadership through the Eyes of Horses”. These workshops incorporate traditional approaches to leadership development, with a unique coaching methodology whereby horses interact with individuals to facilitate a fundamental shift in thinking and behaviour.
Nikki is a Director and Shareholder of Equilibrium Consulting.

Nadine Jackson
Over the past 23 years Nadine has worked both locally and internationally with a dual role as a CA(SA) and in the field of organisational and leadership development as a facilitator, integrator and coach. She currently works within the area of financial consulting for a wide range of individual and corporate clients, and in leadership design, development and facilitation with individual clients and local business schools.
Nadine has held various leadership positions over the years, including the role of Chief Financial Officer of a large South African company, leading a finance department of 150 strong.
In 2015, Nadine’s passion for empowering individuals and establishing leadership values and behaviours resulted in her operating her own consultancy. This has allowed her to share the various skills she has acquired in a variety of business areas; finance, strategy development and leadership roles with others, with the aim of achieving sustainable transformation of individuals and the organisations within which they operate.
Nadine is a Director and Shareholder of Equilibrium Consulting and her background in finance, business management and strategic project management provides Equilibrium with a unique insight into the current business environment.
Mpho Makwana
Mpho is the founding chairman of Epitome Investments. His spirit for entrepreneurship, his passion for business development, and his accomplishment as a business leader is seen in his many roles over the last 33 years, 27 of which have been in executive and C-suite roles in the public and private sectors. These roles have included among others, his recent positions as Non-executive chairman of Nedbank, and Chairman of Eskom. He is currently a non-executive director of Platinum Group Metals and lead independent director on the Board of Invicta Holdings. He is a co-founder of a newly established venture capital fund (Leones Capital).
He ploughs back to society in many ways, in June 2023 he was appointed as Adjunct Professor at UNISA’s CEMS – College of Economic & Management Sciences. He is a panelist for the Centre for Global Inclusion’s Global Diversity and Inclusion Benchmark Report, and volunteers as a Trustee on the Board of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund as well as a Board Director of FLG Modise Pentecost Foundation.
Mpho joined the Equilibrium team in May 2017 as a majority shareholder and mentors the team as the business takes on new challenges and continues to create meaningful shifts in the thinking, behaviour and performance of all their clients.
